This artwork depicts a carpet of oversized yellow gingko leaves over a pinkish heather landscape at nightfall, with the moon behind a curtain of clouds. The center of the canvas is occupied by a surrealist daylight cloudy sky cut in the shape of a giant ginkgo leaf. A monarch butterfly is sitting on this gigantic virtual leaf. This artwork is not framed. Henriette Gorbitz is a naïve/primitive French artist, passionate about Jean Giono.
