Set of antique 8 Hand colored prints (4 sheets) depicting exotic animals in Africa, published in 1840 based on the work of Scottish naturalist, Sir William Jardine, 7th Baronet. The two right prints are not included in this listing. From “Naturhistorischer Bildersaal des Thierreiches” the first German edition (which was slightly larger in dimensions as the English one). Published by Friedrich Treitschke, Verlag Hartleben, Pesth & Leipzig, 1840-42. The prints are not framed, but if you would like, we would be happy to have the work framed for you according to your wishes. Each sheet measures ca 24 by 16 cms.
