Salvador Dali, Original Drypoint and Stencil, 19741974

Dry point and stencil by Salvador Dali, 1974. We present an original dry point and stencil numbered by Salvador Dali. From the series The Bestiary of La Fontaine Dalinized, it is entitled “The Elephant and the Monkey of Jupiter”. This copy is numbered 54/250. It is intact, uncut. The false passe-partout is integrated in the sheet (not added). Signature in pencil that crosses the drawing. This piece is referenced in the catalogue raisonné published by Prestel editions, pages #222 and #223. Dimensions with frame: 59x79x3 cm – 23.2×31.1×1.2 inches, without frame: 56×76 cm – 22×29.9 inches. Signature with pencil crossing the drawing on the lower right, number 54/250 on the lower left. Some light rednesses on the lower part of the passe-partout. The golden frame with the leaf shows some traces of blows. The whole is in very good condition. The lighter band on the bottom of the piece, visible in the picture, is only due to the reflection of the protective glass. It does not exist.
