A series of high port density switches, CloudEngine 8800 brings a combination of both high performance and low latency to cloud-oriented data center networks and high-end campus networks alike. Additionally, the series supports an extensive range of data center features, Software-Defined Networking (SDN) capabilities, and high performance stacking technologies.
With 10, 25, 40, 100, 200, and 400 GE ports as well as flexible plug-in cards, CloudEngine 8800 is well suited for both the core and aggregation layers. The series is also compatible with CloudEngine 16800, 12800, 6800, and 5800 series switches, helping enterprises build scalable, simplified, open, and secure networks.
Basic function:
Provides data packet processing and traffic management on 24 25GE/10GE SFP28 optical ports and two 40GE/100GE QSFP28 optical ports. The 24 25GE/10GE SFP28 optical ports can be configured as 24 FC interfaces (supporting rates of 4 Gbit/s, 8 Gbit/s, and 16 Gbit/s).
Port split:
Each QSFP28 optical port can be split into four 25GE ports or four 10GE ports. Such 25GE or 10GE ports cannot work at 1 Gbit/s.
