Trame is a homeware brand that explores new domestic landscapes across the Mediterranean. Each collection of homeware and accessories is inspired by a historical episode, reflects a cross-cultural journey and celebrates the exceptional know-how of Mediterranean craftsmen. By introducing contemporary designers to traditional craftsmen Trame brings a fresh point of view to those who have spent generations refining artisan techniques and provides economic benefits for local communities, while helping to conserve our common cultural heritage. The first collection, “A voyage to Meknes”, is freely inspired by the story of Madame de Blois, King Louis XIV’s favorite daughter, and her imagined connection to Moroccan culture. The collection arises from the encounter of the designers Maddalena Casadei (IT), Maria Jeglinska (PO) and Julie Richoz (FR) with exceptional Moroccan ceramics and textile craftsmen. The Entwine collection by Maria Jeglinska shows a more random application of colors and lines, the poetic of the grid is still there but the design is moving towards its decomposition. The cross-cultural contamination is celebrated by a tangled complexity of textured elements.
