18K Gold Mughal Style Bangle Bracelet Set with Emeralds Diamonds and Rubies

This Mughal style hinged bracelet is made of 18K gold. The outside of the bangle has a rich, black enamel that beautifully offsets the abstract floral design set with diamonds, rubies, and pear-shaped emeralds. The interior of the bangle has an elaborate design of colorfully enameled birds, flowers, and what appear to be butterflies. A screw clasp holds the hinged section of the bracelet in place. We do not know the age of this bracelet. We were told that it dates to the 19th century, but cannot verify that. It was purchased between 1945 and 1955 in India, as an antique. The bracelet comes with an antique round jewelry box that is not original to it, but fits it well. The internal diameter is- 2.25″ Please contact us if you have any questions.
