2.26 Carat Purplish Red Mahenge Spinel and Diamond Gold Ring

Mahenge and Morogoro in Tanzania are two mining areas that produce nice vivid pink Spinels. The mines are not producing the same amount of rough as a few years ago and with that the nicer larger stones are harder to get. This 2.26 carats purplish red Spinel is from the Mahenge mine and was mined about 10 years ago. We cut and set it in a modern antique setting with 0.46 carat of Diamonds with a vs/si clarity and g/h color. With a comfortable euro shank the ring is perfect for everyday wear and is a size 6 1/2 and can be sized.
