Fine French Made Blue Sapphire & Diamond Mystery Set 18k Yellow Gold Ring. A stunning and impressive vintage sapphire and diamond cluster ring with mystery set sapphires (a style of setting first developed by French fine jewellery house Van Cleef and Arpels) Designed with a 3×3 grid of fine vivid blue princess cut sapphires to the centre with 4 graduated princess cut sapphires to each side. Sapphires are approx. 2.50 total carat with top colour quality and excellent clarity. Fine quality sapphires. The sapphires are surrounded by a total of 62 natural VS grade, E/F colour round brilliant cut diamonds to total approx. 1.3 carats. 20mm spread of stones. 12.5mm wide band to front. The piece is extremely well made with top quality stones, setting and finish. A fine example of a French made mystery set piece and one we are reluctant to sell from our collection. In excellent condition, has been professionally polished and cleaned. Faint French Eagle hallmark on the outside of the band. Ring size K. A sizing band is fitted on the inside.
